You just be yourself and bring up something that you know she has an interest in. Is she on any sports or in any clubs at school? Have you seen her wear any type of logo on her clothing for a band or sports team? Have you noticed any changes in her, hair change, clothing, etc. . Everyone likes a nice, sincere compliment. Teachers are always a good subject, too.
