Put new corks in 'em every time you take 'em down. Get you some of those rubber seals. They last longer but a little sand on 'em will cause a leak and with the sockets so deep like they are you can't really clean 'em good enough without taking them out.

I can say from experience that Restore will stop engine oil leaks. Beyond that I have no idea. NO, they are only a temporary fix.
I remember the push rod tubes being a source of an oil leak.

I switched to full synthetic engine oil in 2001 and have no oil leaks on my 1995 Ford What makes you think you will have leaks? And if you think you will have leaks then why would you use synthetic? You will have no leaks that you would not have with conventional oil.
