It's a tough one, ask your neighbours to shush him/her away. another way if they have a garden is a silver lined bowl filled with water. (The cat will sometimes assume this is 'a giant eye' and be afraid of it.) You can also purchase fake cats, these are little cat shaped metal sillouttes with two reflective eyes, that people attatch to their garden walls, if the cat thinks another cat is there sometimes they'll back off. But you'll notice the ongoing use of the word 'Sometimes'. Cats are independent, intelligent creatures with their own opinions.there are treatments and sprays you can buy to help prevent a cat going to a certain area but it may not be the kindest way of dealing with it. Asking your neighbours to understand and help prevent him is probably your best course of action. x
Well the best way would just be to not let the cat in the house. When the cat comes inside you throw it out. Most cats wont just run inside. Don't let the cat sleep in your house either. You might want to provide your cat with a proper sleeping area with a bed or house of some form.
Basically, just don't open the door when your cat is around. If you have doggy doors for your dog, you may want to try to train your dog to go up to you when it wants to go outside so that your cat doesn't go through it.
Put your cat outside during its schedule, but when it is outside, lock the flap or find some way to close it. If your cat has a routine, then that should work. When it is ready to come back in, open the flap, then lock it again. If you do not have a routine for your cat, I recommend having one. For example:
My cat is allowed out from:
8am to 4pm.
Learn how it get in your house in the first place. Do you leave the door open or does it come through the cat flap? You can either install a special cat flap which only open for you cat (due to a special magnet in the collar you can put on your cat), or you could close the door or lock the cat flap when your cat is inside.
Alternatively, you could try rubbing lemon juice where the cat likes to spray. Cats often do not like the smell of citrus so this may deter him a little.
always put a garbage post in your garden and do not stir it.
Urinate all around your house to claim it as "your territory". While at it you may also want to urinate on your neighbor's houses to.
Spray the cat when it does so, so it knows every time they go through the door it's going to be un pleasant.
live inside a dome the, put the garden in there
apparently they see it as a territorial display and the hate the acidic smell.
Not necessarily - but it could be. On the other hand - are you annoying the neighbors to the point where they call the police and then you stop when you know the cops are coming?? See!That's exactly what the police have to decide and deal with when the arrive.

Hazmat haulers are required to stop at railroad crossings - a food grade tanker would not. They only have to stop long enough to ensure there isn't a train coming.
