Why you wear the front brakes to fast?

Mostly it's because vehicles that don't have 4 wheel disc brakes are designed to use the front disc brakes to stop your vehicle. All the force needed to stop is taken out on the front brake pads and rotors and that's why it is important to keep an eye on the wear of your pads. Once they go away, your rotors will quickly follow, then you have a whole bigger mess to deal with.

Are there any recalls on Toyota tacoma's involving surging?

January 29th, 2012 about 2:20pmI turned the ignition on, put it in gear and without warning it surged forward at such a high rate of speed; it went about 4-5 feet before I could apply the brakes. I was pushing on the brake so hard trying to stop it, it left a skid mark about 18" that's when the brakes went completely down to the floor. I started pumping the brakes and threw it out of gear. At that time it stopped surging forward but the engine was still racing. Then I turned the ignition off.

Why are disc brakes normally used on the front?

disc brakes are usually used on the front of a car is because the braking ratio for any Car is 70 / 30 ........70 percent of the braking power goes to the front 30 percent goes to the back also if you had disc brakes on the rear of the Car and you slam on (emergency stop) the brakes would lock and you would slide all over the road

Can you drive with no brake pads on front brakes?

If you do not expect to stop the vehicle, then yes. Your front brakes provide up to 80% of the stopping power of your braking system. Without them, you would NEVER be able to stop your vehicle in anything resembling a safe amount of time. PERIOD! Not to mention, you would probably be replacing your rear brakes every week if you managed to put enough pressure against them to stop your vehicle at all - AND you would ruin your calipers on the front from not having the pads in place to keep them from hyperextending - which would also cause brake fluid loss, which would keep your rear brakes from working.... So, bad idea. Do *NOT* EVER drive a vehicle that has no working front brakes. Need I say more?
