If the Montero's horn sounds continuously when doors are locked with the remote, this is due a horn pad failure. To repair, replace the horn pad assembly.

you should lock driver door with key then unlock with key , that should stop that issue.

I think you have to get out lock doors and open with key,this resets it.

Stand outside your car holding the remote up against the Driver side window. Hold the Lock and Unlock buttom simultaneously on your remote while pointing your remote at the steering wheel. After about 30 sec. you will hear your horn beep. Your remote has been re-set and should now work.
