How do you stop your small dog from growling when your non growling dogs are being non aggressive towards him?

I love small dogs And very big dogs. Big dogs are usually wimpy and small dogs think they are waaay bigger than they really are. Just keep at it. The small one may think he's protecting you. Keep telling him "no" whenever he does it. If the dogs are social enough that they don't fight over food, try having the small one in you lap (with a good grip on him) and the others can gather around for some tiny bits of treats. Or make them all sit in front of you and do "paw" for a treat. Good behavior gets the treat, bad behavior gets bypassed. Whatever you try, keep it up long enough for the dog to "get it" Ten minutes at a time should do it. You can usually win through food. But remember to keep the treats miniscule or you'll wind up with a pack of fat dogs. Good luck.

∙ 12y agoi would rcomend that you keep the ddog that is growling at the pups away from them as the dog will be jealous as before the pups arrived that dog might have been getting alot of attension and now thye pups are getting more attension. keep the dog awaay unless it is the mother of the pups because my dog bit one of the pups from my other dogs litter and it pierced the skin.... he was just jealous. seperate the dog from the pups UNLESS it is the mother!
