I don't know how subtle this tactic is, but if a girl (especially one I don't really know or just met) stops to make conversation with me... I mean if she just basically takes time out of her day to chew the fat with me for like about 10 - 15 minutes, I know two things: she really likes me and she's someone I can talk to/ have fun with.
