No—you cannot sync an iPad with iTunes directly on the iPad, because the iTunes app on iPad (or iPhone) is just for purchasing and playing content, not for device syncing. To sync your iPad to your iMac, connect the iPad to the iMac using a USB cable and open Finder (or iTunes on older macOS versions). Select your iPad from the sidebar, and then choose the type of content you want to sync, such as music, photos, or apps. After making your selections, click the "Sync" button to start the process. To get music on your iPad you must sync it with iTunes on your computer. Import your music files into iTunes and then sync your iPad. To download a new album, open iTunes on your iPad and select an album to download.
