The key combination is either <alt> <PrintScreen> or <ctrl> <PrintScreen>, I can't remember which, so try both. You should then be able to paste the contents into something like Windows Paint and save it as a bitmap (BMP) file.
On Windows, you can click on the internet Explorer window you want to capture, and then press Alt-printscreen. This will copy the window as an image onto your clipboard so you can paste it somewhere.
You can then start "paint" or Word and paste the image there using ctrl-v or paste from the menus.
If you have Win7, it comes with a "snapping tool' (just search for it) that you can select a portion of your screen and it copies to the clipboard.
On MaxOS, it's "command-ctrl-shift-4", then hit the space bar. This will copy the current window to the clipboard, and you'll be able to paste it somewhere.
Good luck!

To take a snapshot on a Compaq laptop, a person can use the web cam if there is one installed. To take a screenshot (print what is on the screen), go to the screen that the user wants to print, hold down the Fn key in the lower left of the keyboard, and then tap the Insert/Prnt Scr key. To see what the computer printed, open the MS Paint program and save the image.

Find the key that has - PRTSC - on it. This is the - print screen - key. Usually you have to press PRTSC + the FN key (function key) to take a snapshot of the screen. then Open 'paint' program (in windows accessories) then click on the paste button in 'paint' and the screen snapshot will be pasted into 'paint'.
