What are you trying to get to that you need to take apart the dash?
In a 1997 Lincoln Continental : To the right of your headlight switch in the dash is a ( panel dim ) switch I believe if that is turned all the way up then the interior lights will come on

the heater is underneath the dash board you have to take apart a lot of stuff to take it out. what kind of engine air leak.
its usually under the dash board, silver in color and square, hopefully, you never know what they change these days.

the Lincoln continental shares the same dash with the mark series. The continental had a 2.3 turbo as an available option.
The dash and fire wall need to be taken out.
the trunk...it will say ecm on it some but few are under the dash..
The 1998 Lincoln Continental OBD 2 port is under driver side dash next to center console
I was looking at the 1999 Lincoln Continental owner manual and it shows : In the fuse panel under the drivers side of the dash : ( # 16 is a 30 amp fuse for the moonroof switch )
