You don't have to take care of it! The mother will take care of everything until it learns how to walk properly! If the foal has no mother then take it to a special vet. That is all. Just make sure it drinks from the mother if not ask a vet for mothers milk.

Can a horse on Howrse foal a day late?

If you take care of the horse on the day that it has to give birth, but you don't pay for the birthing, the mare will lose the foal and you will lose a karma point. If you do not take care of the horse, it will not age and therefore will not lose the foal until you take care of it. If you do not have enough money for the birthing, you can just leave the horse alone until you raise enough money.

If your foal is orphaned what can you do to help it grow?

How do you pay for my foal on howrse with only 155 dollars?

You can't. But you can not wake the mare until you have at least 200 EQ. If you don't click on your mare to care for it it won't age and the foal won't be born. -FrostyWizard

How long do horses care for their young?

In the wild, horses will suckle their foals until they are about a year old (some fillies suckle longer). After that, they protect their foals until they reach sexual maturity and are kicked out of the herd to prevent in-breeding. However, most domestic horses are weaned at 6 months and are taken away from their mothers, so the mares only care for them until they are 6 months.
