As long as it was receiving proper care before it gave birth, just keep up with the routine. Keep her away from any drafts, and leave her nest alone for a couple of days. Hamsters are solitary critters, and she won't benefit from being poked at or having her babies removed. Depending on how tame she is, intruding too much may cause her to panic, and on occasion hamsters have been known to eat their own young. So please, do be careful. Warmth, fresh food including produce, clean water, and some time alone. :)
hamsters do take care of their young... try not to touch them as it might change e smell... the mother hamster will eat their young if its unwell or e smell changes....
take out the other hamster because it could destress themom or the other male/female could kill the young.
When your female hamster gives birth and you still have the male in the same cage, your female hamster may get pregnant in a matter of days. if not, hours.

To take care of a hamster in front of children first explain what the hamster is such as- this is a hamster- then explain how to be reacting around the hamster by stating- hamsters are good listeners so no loud noises around a hamster or you can hurt his or her ears. when you pet a hamster pet him or her with your pointer finger and stroke their back gently.explain how to care for them properly and what they eat and drink and what they don't eat and drink.
If the baby hamster was abandoned by its mother, its probably not healthy.
