You don't! I tried using a screwdriver to pry open the remote. The remote must be taken to a dealer and they change it. I was shocked when I found out, but it was fairly painless to have them do it.

Ford Nope JLR Jaguar Landrover .... who is owned now by Tata Motors in 2002 Ford owned the company, but the vehicles have always been made by Jaguar Landrover at the Halewood plant in the UK never at a Ford plant.
Your keyless remote might not work for your 2002 Chevy Tahoe because the battery in the remote is dead. You can replace this battery by prying the remote cover off of the back of the remote or by removing the screws holding the cover closed.
I can't get very specific here as I don't have the remote in front of me, but there's a little notch in the casing which you use a small screwdriver to pry on and separate the casing. Then, you need to unscrew the circuit board from the casing and when you remove the board, the CR2032 battery lies underneath. You should be advised, though, that Jaguar issued a Technical Service Bulletin about the Remote Keyless Entry System. They state that there is an issue with some 2002-2004 X-Type remotes, which, after trying to replace the battery to no avail, the circuit board inside the remote is defective and needs to be replaced. It affects the following VIN ranges (last 6 digits): C00001-D82662 The TSB number is: XT501-10. If the problem persists after you replace the battery, you local Jaguar dealer should remedy the problem. Hope this helps!
The battery in the remote needs to be replaced.
No.

fuse for power window 2002 xtype
Ihave a 2000 s type and my battery is in the trunk, under the hatch in the trunk floor. I believe it would be the same for the 2002.
That is bad lucksince your handel broke and the remote doesn't work you have to either fix a new handle or change the remote, don't u have a spare remote?
SwatchBattery has a lot of coin type batteries. http://swatchbattery.com/ . My 2002 300M remote uses a CR2016 (3volt) battery which they carry.
I just changed the battery to my 2002 Jaguar X-type and it is just how you change the battery to any other car. Some people like to buy manufacturer product so if you buy a Jaguar battery, take out the old battery and put in the new. If you buy a compatible battery, at an auto store, it works just as well but you have to fill the sides so it can fit and it won't move from side to side since a jaguar battery seems to be wider than the standard types. They sell the foam at the auto store, you just have to put it on the side and cover the battery back up.i did non of dat i found it pips
