In most sink drains there are two large nuts, one at each side of the U. These must be undone ,with a bowl underneath to collect spillage. Once the U is undone you will see what's blocking the flow.
The sink drain is blocked somewhere after the disposal. take apart and clean or renew sink drain.
Take apart the drain and clean it up. Fit new seal, drain to bowl and new seal from slip tube to drain tube.

If it's a sink drain , best to remove the entire pipe and P trap. I then take outside and hose them out.

Heck no as the sink is higher then the basement drain and water does NOT flow up hill BUT it does seek its own level BUT you can connect a sink drain to a basement drain if you properly trap and vent the line

Probably not, depends on where the clog is at and how the dishwasher drain is connected. I wouldn't chance it, but the worst that will happen is the sink will fill with the water from the dishwasher.
Take your snake on the roof and clean the drain from the vent.
The overflow is built into the sink, it is not part of the drain. If there is no overflow, you can not add it.
