No, there is not a diagram to take apart the outside of a door handle. However, there is a diagram that shows how a door is held together, and from there a person can take apart the outside door handle.
You will need to provide more information.
gallon of petrol and a match
take inside door panel off and unbolt outside door handle from the inside.
take the inside door panel off and you will see the bolts that hold the handle on, take the bolts out and unhook any linkage to the handle and pull the handle off from the outside of the door, just reverse directions to install the new handle.
take it out and put in another
Roll the glass up and then take inner door panel off and deflector water paper, unhook all the rods to the door handle and take the 2 -10 mil. bolts out of the handle and pull the handle out.
you have to take the door panel off the inside first
Depends on the vehicle, some can be done in 15 minutes and some may take an hour.
My problem was the outside handle wasnt working, and the childlock was put on, and door closed. To open a door I couldn't get open from either side, I unscrewed the handle from the inside. I pulled the rod with my fingers, and it opened, then I put the rod on the one from the inside handle. I'm still figuring out how to take the panel off, or get to where the rod is on the outside handle. I cant reach far enough to put the rod back on the handle for the outside, so any help on that would be nice!~
