Well, it depends on how you do it, but I think Google has made a blocking button that is easy and more simple then you think. All you have to do is when your searches come up for facebook, you will see a blocking button underneath the very first site that shows up at the top of the list of sites. But, if that doesn't help, try asking someone to block the facebook site, so that when the students go on the facebook sites or search facebook on searching sites like(facebook, bing, Yahoo,etc.) there will be a page that says that the site is block and maybe the students password and username login.
