Make sure when you approach the topic that it's in a comfortable and appropriate setting, most likely this will be in your home. Then just bring it up, if you're looking for something in particular as far as advice on a specific topic (Birth Control, what can result from sex, ect.) open up by asking if she can give you advice and information about some questions you have about sexuality and then proceed with your questions. Just try and make it as comfortable of a situation as you can, because as unsure as you may be talking to her, she might be just as unsure how to approach the subject with you if you're young, she might not even think of you as being "that age" at all. But most parents will be open and honest with their children, as their advice could genuinely help you and they do want the best for you.
