How do you tell a boy you fancy them?

There really is no one way to do this, but I feel the best way is not to say anything, but simply keep giving him subtle impressions. Remember; actions speak a thousand words. Laugh or giggle when he says something in a joking way, even if you don't actually find it funny (but beware: obviously fake laughter can make things awkward), touch him more than usual (not necessarily in intimate places, just gently push or hit him on the sholder when he says something funny (combined with the giggle... guys quite fancy that)), lokk him in the eyes and smile when there's a moment of silence (this is a good one, since "just friends" wouldn't do this), stand close to him (even if it's not really crowded), and of course; when you feel the time is right: gently kiss him on the lips (this could be after looking him in the eyes while standing close together. Just remember to touch him elsewhere (like on his arm) before you go for the kiss). After this it'll be pretty obvious to him that you like him. Just telling him straight out can cause a lot of awkwardness which is like the last thing you want.

Just don't be too fast, that'll scare him a bit, unless you're really sure he likes you, then just go for it. If you're not completely sure, look for the same signals as I just described.

But then again; don't wait too long either 'cus if he does like you, he'll get bored.

I have the hugest crush on this guy a year above me. I'm in year 8 and he's in year 9, I really love him but I don't know if he's going out with anyone. But because I don't know him I can't talk to him, and I don't think he would go out with me anyway, we don't even know each other. I've loved him for a year. So unless you have a huge problem like me then tell them, I guess. Can some one please help me?

Hey; I just read this and I feel sorry for you two... I used to really fancy this guy and I think that the best thing to do; especially if you don't know them; is to get talking to them. Since you might decide you don't even like him. Try not to be too obvious you fancy them, just talk to them more than average and make eye contact a lot. If they ignore you when you try and talk and avoid eye contact then, I'm sorry, but they probably don't like you in that way. When you get more comfortable with them start trying to touch them, maybe just their arm very breifly. If they dont flinch then you're in the all clear. This is pretty much what I did to this boy; I then kind of spread the rumour round that I fancied him and he asked me if I did and I admitted I did. He said that he fancied me as well. SO it worked out. But once I told this other boy that I fancied him and he was pretty much like "Fudge off". If this happens it isn't the end of the world and it's not very embarrassing. Also; if they do say something like that you're probably best without them. So my advice; get to know them, spread the rumour; then just admit it. For shy people it is much harder. In year 6 i was very shy and coudln't talk to him at all but to be honest I learnt that that doesn't get you anywhere and you need to face your fears. Normally the guy you fancy is a nice guy (I would suggest you dont just fancy them for the looks) and they will be happy to have a chat. Also; guys find it cute if you blush. Which I do a lot! I know it feels like a curse, but from experience it can help you. Especially if someone says do you fancy so and so and then you blush and they just assume you do; then you never actually have to say it. At the moment I fancy this totally funny and guy and we chat loads. I just dont know whether he fancies me back, I heard a rumour that he did but for some reason I don't trust it. I think I'm going to just tell him; I might report back later to tell you what happened. If you want to tell someone you fancy them the my advise would be to engage them in a conversation then just randomely come out with "I Fancy You"

when someone tell another person that they fancy them it can freak them out a bit so dont be too offended if they feel awkward talking to you for a few days

go somewhere quiet and tell them you think there fit if they freak out there not for you!

wait for when you are alone

if the other person blushes

tell them
