How do you tell if something is bothering your boyfriend?

Most men are extremely quiet and find it difficult to express their feelings even with their buddies. If you really think of it, since man began, men aren't suppose to cry, are suppose to be protective of their loved ones, work hard to support themselves or their families, etc. It has been that way since the beginning of time, so it's going to take a couple of generations for men to realize it's OK to cry when they hurt; that they have feelings too and it's best to talk it out with their mate, good friend (be in a male or female) and that they aren't perfect. There is just as much stress put on men in this modern age as women. Communication is the best thing you can ever learn in a relationship before anything else. Sex is wonderful, but not the star of the whole show in a relationship. Good relationships go deeper than that. It's wonderful that you care enough about your boyfriend to consider his feelings. Go for a walk, and just get to the point and in a nice way ask him what is wrong. It could be long hours of work, not liking where he works, home problems, problems with a friend, etc. He may say what many men say, "Nothings wrong!" If he does just say, "You know I love you, so if there is anything you want to talk about then I'm here 100% for you." If he doesn't jump at that one, then he's a darn fool. Signs something is bothering your mate: Phoning you as often as he use to Missing dates with you Appearing listless (lethargic) Disinterested in things you do (he could be depressed) Not having much fun when you are out These are a few signs, but remember, this doesn't mean he doesn't love you and he could be worried about something else entirely. Men get the impression that some of their problems are way beyond a woman's brain mass, and how incorrect men are. Many women are good planners, can dive into most problems and solve it, where men will sit and hope the problem either goes away; perhaps physically fight to resolve a problem or get depressed over the whole thing. When your boyfriend has to go down a few bumpy roads in your relationship and you start to communicate he'll see the strength in you and vice-versa. My husband and I have been married 33 years and we are free as a bird because we communicate well and we can read each other's mind (we are just use to each other after all these years) when something is wrong with one or the other. We've learned that putting our heads together and resolving a problem frees us and there isn't any problem we can't fix to the best of our abilities. Good luck Marcy
