Unfortunately you're in a position where he might feel totally alright about lying to you, I mean you're not his girlfriend and you seem totally fine with that.
However it does sound like he's showing genuine interest in you and your kid, I'm just wondering whether he likes you but just doesn't want to be responsible for the child and whatnot. Regardless he's taken.
I'm pretty sure his girlfriend doesn't like that you're having sex with him. Perhaps you shouldn't be wondering whether a taken guy likes you, but should be more interested in finding someone single.
