How do you tell the gender of your bearded dragon?

To sex your Bearded Dragon, you can lie it in your hand on its back [make sure you support it] and gently pull back its tail. If there are two lumps above the legs then it's a boy. Also, a female will not grow as large as a male, and females have more pointy and narrower heads than males. Of course, you can't tell the sex for certain until they are a few months old or so, but I hope this helped Added: Please please do not put your dragon on its back. They cannot breathe this way! You can do the above by placing it on the palm of your hand with his tail facing you. Place your thumb on his back and GENTLY lift the tail up. An adult male with have 2 oblong bumps on the base of the underside of the tail. A female will have a single bump at the center. If you dragon is still a juvie it may look like a female so you will need to wait until it is at least 8-9 months old. An adult male will also have large femoral pores which is a row of bumps on the underside of his thigh. An adult female may have the same but they are much smaller, pinpoint-like. And also, I have 7 dragons. My largest dragon is a female.

check its privets.if it is pink it is a boy.if it is greenish it is a girl. **EDIT** If it has 2 bumps (on the body side of its genitals) then its male and if it has 1 bump (on the body side of its genitals) then its a girl. =] You can not sex a baby dragon unless you use a sexing probe which I dont recommend for someone who doesnt know how to use one. Once it is 8-9 months then you can hold it in the palm of your hand and place your thub on its back. GENTLY lift the tail up and look at the base of the tail. A male will have 2 oblong bumps and a female will have a central bump. They all look like females until they are older. A mature male will have a row of femoral pores on the underside of each thigh that look like bumps with a waxy looking center. Females may have pores too but they are very small, pinpoint.

you can't tell the sex of a baby beardy easily, you have to probe them somehow, but when they reach juvenile age (3 or 4 months) you can tell by their head shape, males' heads are more of an equilateral triangle, whereas a female's head is thinner and more like an isosceles triangle

Bearded dragons are born and look the same no matter what gender but around the first or second time they shed if it is a male it will stay the some color but if it is a female it will have orange on it sort of like orange stripes my brother has a bearded dragon we think it is a female it is just shedding and it has the orange
