You can tell if the front struts are bad by pushing down on the fender for each side. If the car bounces more tha 1 time they need to be replaced. Front end shimmy, replace the struts.

if the engine is apart , you can tell by the bore and stroke. a 5.7 l is a 350 cid. engine the bore is 4 inches and the stroke is 4.480 inches. if the engine is not apart, your Chevy dealer may be able to tell you by the motor no. the motor no. should be located on a machined pad in front of the left head. (looking at the eng. from the front.) in front of no. 2 cylinder hope this helps.

80.00 each at auto zone there are 2 of them and they are the same sensor not different..they tried to tell me they were 2 diff ones..They are the same..
on the front of the head(s) there will be a marking that looks like a M that is filled in and also the oil sender will be in the front.

on the front right caliper follow your line up to where it attaches to the strut there will be a metal hanger there that holds the line to the strut alot of time moisture collects here and clogs the line try bending the crimp and loosen the line so it is free the crimp the line with pliers to open back up if this doesnt work the line could be collapsed inside and you cant tell from the out and youll need a new brake hose hope this helps
