If you feel comfortable telling them yourself, ask to talk to them when they're not in a stressful mood. Have some information about it written down, so they can read through it, after you've told them. It would also be good if you know of a psychologist or someone you could go to for therapy, so they know there is help for it. If you're not comfortable telling them, go to your school counsellor or an adult your close to, explain the situation to them, and see if they will tell your parents. I was in the same situation a few years ago with depression, and the school counsellor had to tell my mum. It is a really hard thing to do, so do whatever your most comfortable with. Remember to let your parents know that there are SO MANY ways to get treatment for bipolar- Google it- you'll get so many sites. Hope everything goes well for you! Good luck.
I don't think there is a test to tell if someone is bipolar. I think doctors rely mostly on symptoms of the patient, and observations of the patient.
I think I have asthma how do I tell my parents
Kids can definitely get Bipolar, especially if one (or both) of the parents are Bipolar.
Speak and tell. Write and make them read. Go to doctor who will tell them. Tell a relative or friend, who tell your parents.
Bipolar disorder is hereditary, but it is very common for it to skip generations. If a child doesn't actually have it, mimicking parents who do will not make them bipolar. However, as children mimic behavior; they may exhibit the symptoms of bipolar disorder.
i think she tells her parents and they tell their parents
say "you are my best friend, so i can tell you anything here it goes i have bipolar" hope that helps you.
Wait till you know you are gay then tell them
They are surrogate parents and they can tell you what to do in certain circumstances. Anyone with even a modicum of maturity would realise that.
erm, i dont think your parents need to know.
I think you should tell your parents about this, but don't tell your friends cause they will just take the Mickey out of you, but this is my thought do what you think is right.
I don't think you have to tell them anything. They will know by how you look.
