Remove the motor and connect a 12v battery to the positive and negative posts, you don't have to worry about polarity as it runs one way +/- and another way -/+. This will tell you if your motor is good or not.
Assuming the timing belt let go, you could do a compression test.
First test to see if the problem is the switch, wiring, or the motor. Here's howhttp://www.ricksfreeautorepairadvice.com/repair-topics/window-power-repair/test-power-window-motor-and-regulatorThen replace the regulator if the switch and wiring test good. Yes. But you'll need to take off the door panel to force the window up by the rail the glass is resting on. I assume you've already tested the regulator because you indicated the motor was bad. How did you test it. I'm interested.
by jumping wires across
i paid a cheny dealer to test my injectors and it cost 150.00 for the test. that is the only way to get then tested is to have a mechanic do it
Disconnect wires from motor and check to see if you have power and ground going to motor--if so motor is bad if not have to check wiring and switch to that motor
buy a battery load tester, or simply take your battery to a store that sells them and have them test you ccv's.
Use a test light to see if the motor is getting power. If it is then motor is bad. If it is not getting power "jump" the wires on the switch to see if window will operate, is so switch is bad
Simplest way would be to remove it and take it to Auto Zone -they'll do a free bench test for you.
check power going to the switch , and power coming out of the switch ,if no power check fuses and wiring for open or shorts , then remove door panel and bench test the motor basically put power to the window motor
Remove inner door panel, pull glass up and out after getting it separated from the regulator.Drill out the rivets holding the whole mechanism for lifting the window(regulator and motor)Unplug the wiring and pull it all out through the large hole in the inner panel at the bottom of the door. Now you have it on a bench and can test the motor as well as the regulator.Attach 2 wires to the plug from the motor and switch them back and forth between the positive and negative terminals on a battery to make it go up or down.
Remove door panel to check wiring to switch and motor See if motor is getting power through the switch - if so motor is bad If no power to motor check operation of switch - jump wires to test if window works bad switch
