Why don't have communication with the scan tool?
I have toyota camry 2003se. There is no communication obd2. Scan doesn't connect. Tested all wires, from obd2 connector to ecu, replaced ecu to test, ecu ok.

the voltage "persay" comes from the ecu(computer) i would not use a test light to see if voltage is present thay can be intrusive and short the ecu u will need a dvom meter and service manual to test that circut

cant be serten but if u tryed to test the fuel pump before complet install with out disconecting the ecu its likely the ecu is dead

AnswerYou need to pull the codes and see what they say. you'll need a troubleshooting flowchart to do the testing. There are times that the flowcharts will say to replace the ECU, but that is not always the right solution.Pulling the codes will not always be a solution, however. If the ECU is faulty, or if the ECU has a faulty power supply (e.g. ignition relay to ECU is bad), you may not be able to communicate with the ECU at all.Each vehicle's repair manual should have a flow chart of ECU diagnostics, outlining what connections/terminals to test for voltage and resistance. Essentially, if you have positively verified that all other electrical components are working properly, and you still have signal problems, then you can assume the ECU is bad.

You pretty much have to remove the seat as the ECU is under it. There is a small switch on theback side. undoubtly you must have book otherwise you won't know what the flashes mean. it will tell you what position you need the switch in to test.
