Well if you took one off and instaling a new one and you finished installing it you would push and lift the clutch pedal 2 or 3 times to allow the adjuster mechanism to function
Hydraulic.
The 1991 Chevrolet Cavalier transmission linkage can be tighten by turning the adjustment nuts. You will find the adjustment nut on each end of the linkage.
Isnt one, its hydraulic, and its next to the brake fluid resevior
ford sucks buy a dodge
fill the clutch resivoir pump the clutch pedal open the bleeder screw and tighten it back up and repeat until the air is out and just fluid comes out
I think they're cable operated. No fluid required.
To replace the clutch disc in a 1991 Acura Legend you must first remove the engine from the vehicle. Loosen the pressure plate by adjusting the bolts and remove. Put the new one where the old one was and tighten the bolts.
Replace clutch master cylinder and bleed system, also check your slave cylinder for leaks.its bolted to your transmission, the clutch cable is connected to it.
Behind the right front tire you will see where your clutch cable attaches to your clutch arm, holding on to the cable with a pliers, take an 11mm socket and wrench and turn the nut on the backside clockwise until your clutch is where you want it. Now if you have tighned up the nut all the way and it's still loose you need to take out the clutch pedal and check to see if the threads at the end are twisted, if so replace immediately, I had 1 snap off on me.
if your problem is a sloppy pedal......... then you probably need to bleed the slave cylinder, not adjust the clutch cable. As you correctly point out, this is a cable, not hydraulic, system. The adjustment is on the top of the transmission, towards the front of the car, between the motor and the battery. IT is usually a big black "cable" leading into a 3" while plastic adjustment mechanism, before the actual cable itself exits and heads to the clutch release arm. In this case, you need 2 wrenches (13mm as I recall) and need to turn the white plastic bits until the clutch cable snugs up a bit.
remove the cover on the front sprocket. Loosen the locking bolt. then sqwueeze your clutch lever in and push the lead stop out of the handle. and out of the bike. its really that simple putting the new one in same steps just tighten the nut until you feel resistance and reduce 1/4 turn and fine adjustments can be made on the lever mount.
it will fit but you need to convert it to a cable clutch because the 98's are hydraulic
