The outside door handle on the driver's side is loose on the right side not the left. I found the screw for the out side left after taking the door panel off but could not find how to tighten the outside right of the handle. How is it connected ?
unbolt the mirror from the car and look inside the mirror for a bolt to tighten, don't remember if it can be tightened or not.
remove the inside door panel and go from there.
Take inner door panel off and the plastic deflector paper and there are 2 10 millimeter bolts that hold the handle on, tighten the bolts and your all set.
Remove the inside door panel of your 1994 Chevy Lumina. Remove the door handle linkage. Remove the door handle retaining bolts. Reverse the process to install the new door handle.
Need to know inside or outside door handle.
Inside or outside?
Go to a junkyard and buy an entire door, they are fairly cheap.
The same way many open, from inside pull the release handle on the lower part of drivers side dash then go outside and move the lever under the front of the hood to release the second safety latch.
Drill it out and when replacing use a screw.
inside the truck on whatever door you are having the mirror problem with will be a little panal connected to the dash. Take the panal off and you will see a screw right there and it should tighten in a jiffy
Sounds like you left a retaining clip loose on one of the pull rods.
First you need to remove the trim bezel around the handle on the outside of the tailgate. Then remove the three bolts on the inside of the tailgate, that hold the handle in place. Next remove the latching mechanism rods from the handle, and remove the handle from the tailgate.
