A loose armrest in a 1992 Ford Ranger on the driver's door can be tightened by removing it and using a larger screw to put it back in. An armrest attached to the driver's seat could be tightened by inserting a larger bolt after the old bolt is cut out. To take the bolt out without cutting it will require cutting into the upholstery.
