How do you tighten a passenger side mirror on a 1992 jeep wrangler?
if i assume correctly your talking about the mirror itself and not the part that connects to the vehicle.
If its the mirror look underneath next to the rubber part (bendie) you should see two screws on either side. Take a Phillip screwdriver and tighten it to the desired torque. Dont tighten too much tho as you could damage. Personally i have mine pretty tight so the wind doesnt have too much play on them.
If you want to replace the whole assembly, you will need to remove the door panel first and then remove the triangular cover that will allow you to access the screws that hold the side mirror. If you want to replace the glass only, you can pop out the mirror by inserting a screwdriver behind the plastic frame that holds the mirror at the bottom and lift it until the bottom part of the frame…
this frame can not be used for a 1992 jeep wrangler. the length is totally different. The frame size changes in 1997 and again in 2003. I am running into the same problem. I have a 2004 and a 1998 but the 1998 will not work. where are you located and would you be willing to sell the 2004 frame? thanks Joey 919-225-2132
