"on the emergency brake pedal on top theres a nut just tighten it till you feel adjustment" ?? The emergency/parking brake on the 2005 Nissan Frontier is not a foot pedal but a lever. I assume this is the same for the 2006 model. Is the adjustment similar or is there somewhere else the adjustment is made?
The 2000 Chevrolet Impala parking brake will have an adjustment bolt on the parking brake assembly. Turn the adjustment bolt to loosen or tighten the parking brake.
The 2001 Chevy Cavalier parking brake has an adjustment bolt on the parking brake assembly. Turn the adjustment bolt to loosen or tighten the parking brake.
The parking light stays on how am I sure the parking brakes are not on
look under passenger side between front and rear tire u will see adjuster cable ,unscrew lock nut and tighten other nutuntil it feels ok then tighten lock nut
The cables have turnbuckles underneath. Turn to tighten & get the right amount of travel .Be prepared to lay on the ground 7 it's easier with a helper.
if your van has rear drum brakes, adjust them up until there is a slight drag on the brakes. this usually does the trick to tighten up the parking brake.
Do you mean parking brake switch? You have to sit on a stool, look under the dash under steering wheel. You will need a flashlight.
The most likely culprit for a do-nothing parking brake is a misadjusted cable. Generally there is an nut that can be used for adjustment at the rear of the vehicle that will allow you to tighten or loosen the parking brake cable.
I am presuming that you mean the parking Brake light It may be a loose wire or your parking brake (pedal and arm)needs to be tightened. You may also have to tighten the switch
