Ignition timing on all stock small block chevys are the same 4 degrees before top dead center on number one cylinder. There is a mark on the harmonic balancer put that mark on the number 4 mark on the timing cover with number one at tdc both valves closed then make sure the roter is pointed at number one on the cap. If the engine doesnt fire then turn the roter 180 degress and repeet every thing i just said. Crank to cam timing is easy crank mark should be at 12 oclock cam mark at 6 oclock with the discolored links on the timing chain on the marks on the crank and cam.
If yours is fuel injected, which I think it is you will need to disconnect a wire to help in timing the motor. It will kick on the engine light, but that is easy to fix. You will need to look a book from Haynes or Chiltons or both. It will help you on locating this wire. This helps on setting your timing if you have moved the distrbutor or pulled it out and setting it back in.

Chevy-GM 5.0 liter is 305 CID.

A supercharger would have a dramatic effect.
I have a 91 rs 305 v8 and get about 19 mpg.
Yes it will bolt right up, no problem. As long as the 350 is close to the same year as the 305.

If the Buick 305 is really a Chevy 305, then the motor mounts will interchange with a Chevy 350.
