Couple different ways to do it:
- If it has a manual transmission, put it in neutral. This will not work with an automatic.
- If it has a manual transfer case, or an electronic transfer case with a neutral button, put it in neutral. Make sure the hubs on the steer axle are unlocked.
- Disconnect the driveshafts. If you have a 4x4 but don't have manual locking hubs, you will need to disconnect both driveshafts from the differentials.
