to train a dog to listen to you, you must: a) make up a signal( for ex. if I was training my West highland white terrier to sit i would, make a certain signal like flip my palm down and keep hitting it down each time i want him/her to sit) then they will get used to the signal you make if you want them to sit. b) NEVER CALL YOUR DOG"S NAME IF YOU WANT TO TRAIN IT TO COME!! why? because in the dog's mind the only thing that its hearing is its name being rewinded again and again. It won't listen to that! the outcomes will be that your dog just walks away and is never trained. so here are some of MY tips of training a dog to listen to you!
