Training a puppy can be a rewarding and enjoyable experience for both you and your new furry friend. Here are some tips to get you started:

  1. Start training as soon as you bring your puppy home. It's never too early to begin teaching your puppy good manners and obedience.

  2. Use positive reinforcement. Rewarding your puppy with treats, praise, and affection whenever they behave well is a great way to encourage good behavior.

  3. Use a consistent training method. Choose a method that you feel comfortable with and stick to it. This will help your puppy understand what you expect from them.

  4. Be patient. Training a puppy takes time and consistency. Don't get frustrated if your puppy doesn't learn a new command right away.

  5. Be consistent with your commands. Use the same words and hand signals every time you give a command. This will help your puppy understand what you want from them.

  6. Keep training sessions short and fun. Puppies have short attention spans, so keep training sessions short and interesting to hold their attention.

  7. Practice makes perfect. The more you practice with your puppy, the faster they will learn.

Remember to always be patient and consistent when training your puppy. With time and practice, you will be able to teach them a variety of commands and behaviors.

You can get this for yourself that’s what I have been using and it’s good.

Also, keep in mind that a dog will do it's business as far away from it's food and water sources as possible. I've raised 6 or 7 litters of pups in the past 10 years (all large litters of 8 or more pups each). If it was cold and I wasn't able to keep them outside when they were old enough, I always laid newspapers down everywhere in my house where the pups could roam (started doing this as soon as the pups were old enough to get around on their own). Not a pretty sight, but protected my carpets! As the pups grew, they defecated anywhere, but always on the newspaper (because that's all they could see on the floor). As they grew older, they would defecate further and further away from where they ate and slept and generally in one location (on the newspaper). As they traveled further and further away from where they ate and slept, I would take up the newspaper except for the one location where they chose to do their business 99% of the time (accidents always happen). Pretty soon, they all were defecating in only 1 place and only on the newspaper. Not much effort at all for them to learn this. Pretty soon, they were old enough to go outside on their own, and liked it, so no problem training them to go outside to do their business. Helps, too, if you have an older dog or mom/dad to help them learn. With pups, you have to take them outside EVERY time (and as soon as) they wake up, eat, etc. The more often, the better. Their bladders just aren't big enough to hold it for very long! I don't believe in rubbing their noses in it, spanking them, then taking them outside. This seems to teach them it's not OK to poo/pee (not sure they get the not-in-the-house part)! Similar to physically disciplining your dog when it comes home after getting loose...you could actually be teaching your pup that it isn't OK to come home?? Take the pad and place it outside. take the dog outside frequently to use the pad. over time remove the pad.

Dogs are instinctively clean animals. If they can avoid it, they would rather not soil themselves or their usual eating and sleeping areas. Dogs also naturally develop habits of where they would like to eliminate. For example, dogs that have a habit of eliminating on grass or dirt would rather not eliminate on concrete or gravel. You can use these natural tendencies for rapid and successful house training.

You should start training your puppy to potty train as soon as you can. Take the dog out a lot and praise them and give them treats whenever they go to the bathroom outside. If you catch the dog peeing inside say no sternly and take them outside. Leave them out there for a while so they get that they are supposed to go to the bathroom when they are outside. Praise them when they do go to the bathroom outside.

What you need to do is find something called a pee post. A pee post is a little post in the shape of a tack that is yellow, and that has many pee smells from tons of different breeds of dogs. So you stick the pee post in the ground and your dog will smell the other dogs and it will keep trying to mark. You do this for about 2,3,or 4 months it all depends on how long your dog will get the hang of "going" outside.

It is actually quite easy to train a puppy to pee outside, since dogs naturally (i.e. wild dogs and wolves in nature as well) never do their business in their den, as they do it away from their den. Therefore puppies are biologically programmed to not pee inside their house. However, expect to have a couple of mishaps in the beginning. A puppy of 6 weeks is still very small and his/her world is still very small, so often they would see only their bed or crate as their world or den and will still feel it is fine to pee elsewhere in the house.

The best way to housetrain a puppy is to always keep your eye on the puppy when it is inside, especially if the puppy is asleep, because they usually want to go right after they wake up. When the puppy wakes up just pick him/her up immediately and take the puppy outside and let the puppy pee or poo outside. If you consistently keep doing this the puppy will pick up very quickly that he/she has to do his/her business outside. Never rub the puppy's nose in the pee, as this is just confusing.

Try moving the pee pad a tiny bit closer to the outside door every day. eventually, you can put it just outside the door. after a few days of the pee pad being outside, you can take it away altogether. It might take you a long time or a short time, as puppy might have trouble with the transition or quickly learn to go outside. So be patient with puppy, and everything should go smoothly

PS. Don't forget to praise your puppy when she goes where she is supposed to!

Every time they sit down, put them outside. Puppies don't sit unless they're doing their business because puppies are way too hyper.

Train a dog?

House training may be done many ways. A common way is to put newspapers or pads on the ground and encourage the dog to relieve themselves on those and slowly moving whatever you use closer and closer to outside (or wherever you want the dog to go to the bathroom). It is also good practice to take the dog out at least 3 times a day, usually about an hour after the dog has eaten, and praising him or her when they go to the bathroom outside.

How do you potty train an 11 week old puppy?

If it uses the bathroom in the house then take it outside and tie it up for about an hour then bring it back in every 30 min to an hour you should take the dog outside and let it try and use the bathroom when it does use the bathroom outside then give it a treat. It will take a couple weeks but that is the most effective way. Under any circumstances do not hit or scold the dog it will actually do worse for it. Yes always works better than no.
