House training may be done many ways. A common way is to put newspapers or pads on the ground and encourage the dog to relieve themselves on those and slowly moving whatever you use closer and closer to outside (or wherever you want the dog to go to the bathroom).
It is also good practice to take the dog out at least 3 times a day, usually about an hour after the dog has eaten, and praising him or her when they go to the bathroom outside.

∙ 12y agoOut of my experience of handling dogs and major research, here is my answer:The best time to start house training is when to dog is a puppy. If you are planning to house-train yuor dog and you only want it to urinate or poo on only grass, here is what you should do
1. if your puppy needs to go to the toilet, it will show signs. One of the main signs is when you see him sniffing the ground.
2. The best thing to do is to put him on grass try to keep him there until he relieves himself. If he does, you need to act almost like a clown, make the pup feel like relieving itself on the grass is a very good thing.
3.keep doing this until you dog eventually does it by himself. If e does it in the wrong place, quickly try to take him to grass. if he continues to do it on the grass, then do your clown routine
4. you should be persistent but the key is to never scold your dog, only praise him.

I would understand if they didn't want to deliver the package because of the dog and how it bites. If the dog is in the front yard, maybe you could bring it to the backyard when they come to deliver it. Or you could bring it inside if your safe with that.
