Word will only allow you to insert pictures. There are a variety of picture file types but the most popular are JPG or JPEG. AutoCAD is not a picture file so you cannot insert it directly. But you can convert it into a picture file format using a screen capture software package such as Snagit. Here's how it works. You capture the AutoCAD image from the screen with Snagit then you save that capture as a JPG file. Then you can insert your newly created JPG into a Word document.
