Your best bet is to trap the spider and rush your dog to the vet. Animals get bitten all the time and we don't notice it because it doesn't swell. If you are seeing swelling, you are seeing a reaction... and that would need to be treated. Take the spider with you so the vet knows what venom is in the dog.

The dog may want a treat or have to go potty
To treat broken dog claws, remove the broken part. Stop the bleeding by pressing a clean paper towel or cloth the paw. Wrap the paw to help it heal. You should keep the dog calm and quiet as the claw heals so that it does not cause the dog pain.
The possessive form is the dog's paw.
If it licks its paws more than usually, it might have a sore paw, an injury, an insect bite, a splinter (sometimes it's glass and it can be difficult to spot it).
The most common way is to teach the dog to give you it's paw first then work on from there. You can teach this trick first by picking up the dogs paw then giving him and treat and repeating this until he will offer his paw when you hold out your hand. This could be difficult if your dog doesn't like his paw being touched but this can be overcome with patience and taking small steps beginning with giving him a treat as you touch his paw. Once the dog knows that trick you can hold your hand vertically instead of horizontally and he should lift his paw to your hand! If this doesn't work you can work up more gradually from paw and tilt you hand a little more with each repetition until it becomes vertical.
I suggest taking your dog to your veterinarian immediately. Dogs have bacteria in their mouths (just like humans), so your dog probably has a bacterial infection that will require medication to get better.
Call a vet, explain your situation and ask their advice. That much won't cost you a thing.Since you describe it as "very swollen," it sounds like the bite could be infected, and your dog needs care in a hurry. If it is infected and you wait too long, your dog could lose his leg, or even die. Some vets might sympathize with your situation and offer to treat your dog for free, or let you pay a little bit at a time. Good luck!
You first hide a small treat in your hand then you touch his/her paw with the hand that has the treat then lay your hand down and the dog will start touching your hand back only give the treat when he/she does touch your hand. Please be patience this is a hard one for them to learn.
He may have a thorn or parasite in his paw. If you try to look at it he might try to bite you because it is tender. take him to the vet so the can observe and tell you for certain what is wrong.
