How do you treat pigeon pox?

Pigeon pox is virual with no known treatment. You can swab the lesions with diluted betadine or tea tree oil. The bird should be isolated since the disease is contagious. It is normally not fatal. There is no danger of transmission to humans.

get 1mg of pottacium powder nd mix a small amount of rose water. take this mixture in a cotton and apply on the affected places in pigeon.

This is when you cannot identify the culprit (bacteria or virus):

Prepare a medicinal drinking water:

- 1 Liter of Drinking Water

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Amoxicillin Trihydrate (Powder)

or 1 Tablespoon (Solution/Syrup)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Cephalexin (Powder)

or 1 Tablespoon (Solution/Syrup)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Tylosin (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Tiamulin Hydrogen Fumarate (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Doxycycline Hydrochloride (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Cotrimazine (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Sulfadimethoxine Sodium (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Trimethorpim (Powder)

- 1/4 Tablespoon of Oxytetracycline (Powder)

- 30 Accurate Drops of Household Bleach

- 1 Piece Grated Garlic

- 1/2 Tablespoon of Apple Cider Vinegar

- Mix them altogether very well

- Serve the medicinal drinking water to the pigeon

There are certain condition that a pigeon is very lazy to drink (specially when it is ill) as you are to observe it from time to time. Time is very critical when a pigeon is ill so you need to buy a small injection syringe with its tube enough to fit to the pigeon's larynx. Take off the needlepoint with its plastic and there you got an injector feeder you will use to feed your pigeon manually. Feed the pigeon into the larynx with the medicinal water with 1.0milliLiter in the injector feeder four times. Small injection syringe has a maximum of 1.0mL capacity. One session in the morning and one session at around 4:00PM everyday for 7 days.

If in two days the condition of the pigeon seems to get worsened, you are to race this time with death and so you are to prepare an emergency remedy drinking water.

Prepare an Emergency Remedy Drinking Water:

- 1 Liter of Drinking Water

- 1/4 Teaspoon (not Tablespoon) of Laundry Detergent used to wash clothes.

- 40 Accurate Drops of Household Bleach

- 1 Tablespoonful of White Vinegar

- Mix them altogether very well

- Serve this or Manually Feed this with an injector feeder deep into the larynx twice a day until the ill pigeon becomes well then give the medicinal drinking water as I said above afterwards for 7 days.

Personally Bathe the sick pigeon on its first day being sick to suppress the spread of the disease with water, laundry detergent, ample amount of bleach and ample amount of white vinegar.

Clean the Loft very well using a scraper, spray, antiseptic solution (water, bleach, white vinegar) everyday and also spray unto every pigeon's feet. Because it's their feet which gets direct contact with land-born diseases unless airborne.
