I'm not a mechanic / technician but I would start by checking fuse # 17 , the 15 amp fuse for your fuel gauge . Otherwise it could be the sending unit inside your gas tank ( it's combined with the fuel pump ) , or a poor electrical connection
On a 1995 Ford Explorer XLT : The ELECTRIC fuel pump ( with sending unit for the gaslevel gauge ) is INSIDE the fuel tank . It is installed from the top of the tank
Yes. The 2000 explorer xlt v6 will fit in a 2002 explorer xlt v6.

I looked at my Chilton repair manual and the engine wiring schematic for a 1994 Ford Explorer shows ( fuse # 17 - 15 amp - for fuel gauge )
Either your engine coolant temperature is too high , your oil pressure too low , or your gas gauge is near or at empty
Yes ( my 1995 Ford Explorer XLT 4x4 has 4 wheel ABS brakes )
A 1996 Ford Explorer XLT would be just under ( 16 feet in length )
A 2004 Explorer XLT does. I have one. I am pretty positive a 2005 does too.
I was having the same problem with my 99 explorer. What I discovered was that the overflow tank for the radiator was empty and was causing a false reading by the temp gauge.
On a 2002 Ford Explorer XLT : The fuse box is under the dash , on the drivers side
Where is the ecm on a 03 explorer
I believe that is a 95 amp alternator on the XLT
