If your Geo Prizm is stuck in park and will not shift, the transmission is locked up. It will need to be serviced.
Go to http://autos.msn.com/ and put in geo/prizm... then look up the year of the prizm...1996... click on features and specs. Scroll down, and you'll find the horsepower of a 1.6 liter 1996 geo prizm. I found it to be 100 horsepower.
i have a 1994 geo prism with 1.6 ltre motor it did the same thing except it was running and did a tune up ...but it ended up to be the fuel pump did the fuel filter and fuel pump change now running great
If the hood cable is broken on a Geo Prizm, the only option is to open the hood from underneath the vehicle. It is best to put the car up on a hoist and use a pole to trip the hood latch.
Recommend look at spark plugs and if appear dirty, clean them but even better, replace them if appear bad. Check spark plug wires and if any worn or broken, replace. Good time to clean or replace air filter. Could also look at distributor rotor to see if in good condition.
should be screwed into the transmission case
if you car had automatic headlights.. the kind that pop up when turned on. then there would be a fuse there.
Someone finally brought the cast of Family Guy to life where Quagmire hooks up with Meg instead of Lois but I wonder if Stewie hooks up with Brian? Family Guy Porno LOL...
tune up
Check the Distributor. There is a surge protector that looks like a condenser. I replaced it and the problem went away.
It's probobly out of time. Try retiming it.
Maybe you just need a tune-up. If that doesn't work, make sure the a/c clutch is actually working and not froze up. If it's not spinning and is locked up, it could cause a load on the engine and stop it.
