This depends on whether the feature is enabled on the computer.

The window-wipe stalk has four positions:

0 - Off

1 - Auto

2 - Slow Wipe

3 - Fast Wipe

With the car started, move the stalk up one position from off. The dashboard should display "AUTOMATIC WIPING ACTIVE", and wipe the windows once. If it doesn't display this, or the wipers are 'intermittent' wiping, then the feature is not enabled.

You will need to go to a Citroen/Peugeot dealer to have this activated, as some people have them turned off as they can cause a nuisance. Bare in mind if you have these turned on, it will take time for them to 'train' so expect lots of frantic wiping for several rainy days! They do calm down eventually though.

Note: If you leave the wipers on auto all the time, you will need to 'pull' the stalk towards you briefly (as though you are quick-wiping the screen, not washing it) to re-activate the auto feature, as it does not engage when the engine is turned on.

Wipers are automatic on a caddy cts they wont cut off even when its not raining?

The windshield wipers are not automatic... the lever that controls the wipers have three positions and you will have to pull the lever down to the off position. The position below off is for mist. If you pull the lever to that position and let it go, the lever will go back to the off position.
