If you have the wind waker item go to windfall island. There you go to the stupid dancing guy infront of the head stone who is always complaining about the night to day dance not working then pull out your wind waker (make sure he sees it) then i forgot. (somebody who remembers please put what is next on) then you will get a song that turnes night into day or day into night.
While in lake Hylia, the time of day doesen't change. thatr is to say, if you go in in the morning and wait for ages, it will be night when you leave. I HATE NIGHT-TIME. it's depressing.
Use your hoi pear and hit the crystal on the peak of the "needle".

If you mean the last song, then its the song of passing. Go to windfall island, then go talk to that dancing guy at the far left of the island (these may not be the right directions, i haven't played this game in a while). Take out your wind waker and do nothing. Dont move anything. After 2 verses of just medium notes he will say that's the rythm. then he will point his arms left, right, and down. do that on your wind waker and there you go. You now have thesong of passing. What it does: It let's you turn day into night, and night into day.
How you get the song is you go to Windfall Island, and if you look around enough, you should find a cliff with a stone tablet and a person dancing in front of it. you talk to the guy and you learn the song. the song itself is Right, Left, Down. You have to learn the song before you can play it however.
After getting the master sword.
just turn off the wii (or gamecube)
do you have action replay? just turn on action replay, take it out, put the legend of Zelda phantom hourglass and you should find it somewhere on the top screen

When you play the wind waker near him, he will teach you the Song of Passing, which will turn day to night or vice versa. This is the only song that is optional in Wind Waker.
