Turn off alarm with ignition key in the driver's door.
Put the key back in the door and turn it. This works for my 94 vigor.
To turn off the car alarm on an Acura use your key to unlock the driver side door.

Pull the fuse, and it will be disconnected.

The OEM factory alarm systems have a procedure that is used to reset the alarm. To do so, turn the key to on position and press the lock/unlock button. Do this three times in five seconds and the alarm with be in program mode. Here the alarm can be reset.
This problem is actually caused by a bad lock actuator. You will need to replace the door lock actuator on the door lock that is causing the alarm to go off. I dont know why, but mine 93 Vigor does this as well. A tip: when u open the door and use the auto unlock, it turns the alarm off so you dont have to sit somewhere while u try to get the alarm to turn off.
To reset the alarm on a Corolla 1993, place they key in the ignition and turn it until it clicks. Keep the key in this position for 10 minutes and then start the car as normal.
Honda factory alarm systems use a program function. To program the alarm turn the car into the on position and press the lock button. Do this three times in five seconds. Once in program mode and the alarm can be disabled.
Locate fuse box (driver's side) and check if they are all good. Read your car owner's manual for two fuse boxes you have in the car.
