You can't turn it off. HAVE THIS CHECKED IMMEDIATELY! It is signalling a malfunction of the airbag system. Without knowing the probelm you don't know if the bags simply won't work OR if they're going to explode in your face at any moment without warning!
You can turn it off. There are videos online to show you how. If there is a real problem then it will go back on and stay on. Then you can look into having someone look at it.
