To turn off the "maintenance required" light, it may go off for a short time IF you disconnect the negative terminal (car turned off) cable from the battery for ten seconds and then bolt the cable back on. It's highly likely this WILL NOT WORK as the computers are programmed to "release" the maintenance light with some special wizardry from a Honda dealer. BETTER IDEA. Call your local auto parts store and ask one of the employees. It's my guess that they may recommend you go to the dealer and they will turn off the light for no charge. The parts department or service department may also let you know over the phone if you call the dealer. Good Luck!

The Maintenance Required Light is not the same as the Check Engine Light. The Maintenance Required Light is telling you that there is scheduled maintenance that needs to be performed. It may mean it needs an oil/filter change. To find out what needs to be done look at the maintenance schedule in your owner's manual.

It means that there is some sort of maintenance required - you'd need to pull codes to determine exactly what. Performing the required maintenance successfully should shut the light off.
Your owner's manual discusses this very light. The light indicates that regular scheduled maintenance is required. Look in your owner's manual for the description of what maintenance items need to be addressed, and how to reset the light.
