If you have the Fn button on your computer press it while pressing the F2(it should be a tower with signal coming out(if not locate it on the top)) on the button. A box should pop up on your screen saying you disconnected it
If you don't have that go to your Wireless Connection on your computer and click disable.
You should have a button on your toolbar for it if not go to your control panel then click wireless and internet connections
I hope this helps you!
because the wireless is broadcasting it's signal, you can turn it off to the outside world in Windows 7, not sure of XP anymore LOL
I don't know, but it stinks
Many wireless adapters work with Windows 7. If the product does not have an explicit Windows 7 driver, the Vista driver should still work.
A person can get Windows 7 to manage wireless connections by enabling the wireless network manager under the control panel. Windows will then remember all connections made and automatically connect to them when in range.
Go to the Windows Settings menu from the Control panel.Select the Update & Security icon. Now, click the Windows Security menu from the left side pane.Select the Virus & threat protection option and then click on Manage settings.Under Virus & threat protection, switch off the Real-time protection to Turn Off Antivirus.
because you are pregnant
Win+R->cmd-> Type in the cmd window: powercfg -h off
Try looking under "Accounts" on a Mac or "User Accounts" on Windows 7 and look under Parental Controls. The Mac has a few more parameters to play with then Windows does. Windows basically has access restrictions for USING the computer. If you have a Wireless Router, most have restrictions for time and/or day, Blocked services like Web, Web sites, e-mail, etc, for connections for the internet. I think they can be set locally. You can block it via the MAC Address of the computer, the IP address or a range of them. The wireless restrictions only has an On/Off for "A" particular computer. Not a time or day. You would have to turn it on and off daily or whenever. I don't know if anyone has a setup for just turning the Wireless on or off at a set time. You can turn wireless off at the router but it's for everyone.

Operating systems including Windows 7 do not "care" about router you have. It means that any router will work just fine as far as you have established connection. Which is in its turn depends on if you have proper drivers for your network adapter (either wireless or wired).
Wireless routers are OS-independent. Thus just get a good wireless routers with N compatibility.
This question only applies to a Windows PC. To turn off your Windows PC, click the start button on you taskbar. Then, Move your mouse over to the button that says shutdown, or if there is an arrow (in Windows Vista and 7) click on that and then click shutdown. Your computer will then close all your programs and then shutdown!
