You just turn the button on that is located on the right and turn it up and you will see a green light. It is right towards the side of the PSP right behind the power label. If you've already tried that then it may be bricked.

I just bought a psp 3000 silver light and it will not turn on AT ALL, So your answer may be "ITS BROKEN"
There's a sliding button labelled WLAN, just push it into position and that enables wireless.
Slide the power button to the 'off' position, but hold it there until the power light goes off. Otherwise you'll only put it into standby.

The E1000 series of PSP does not have wlan.
You need to turn it on by going to the top of your PSP and push the little rectangle that says WLAN and push it to the right! On psp 1000, it's a unlabeled switch with only an arrow on it on the left side Your WLAN is on now and working. (note: your must have a stable internet connection!)

on the left side of the psp is a switch that looks like the power switch push it up and it should work
