How do you turn on your wireless?

to turn on internet connectivity on your laptop is this. first you find a wifi hot spot, like a reststop or mccdonalds (they would be showing off the Wi-FI signs) the ntwo you go to the task bar and dyou right click on the internet icon. third you look at the available networks and choose one plug-in the WEP encription code and let 'er rip

If you already have a internal adapter then you must turn it on, if not get a USB WIFI adapter and connect it to your laptop, go thru the settings and you'll be connected in like 5 minutes ( for the first time) then you can choose to connect automatically when you turn on ur laptop or when is in range.

Well i had the excactly same problem, only got it sorted out today.. and i watched the person who did it for me on how to do it...

I have a HP G70, not sure if this is for all laptops, but i hope it is near enough the same (: worth a try, Here goes ...........

1: Control Panel

2: There should be a ''Network and internet'' icon, click on view network status and task

3: There should be '' View Full map'' and ''Customize'' and then ''view status'' Click on view status, Should then come up with properties, click on it, Then click on continue

4: now all the options below where it says ''This connection uses the following...''

double click on all of those, but only change the ones that comes up with ''Obtain a IP address automatically'' MAKE SURE that Every single of those options are clicked onto ''Obtain a IP address automatically'' (some of the options may not come up with this, or not come up with anything, but not to worry that don't matter, just do change the options that you can, i only changed 2 things and worked, so don't need to install anything.)

There are lots of different ways of switching it on, check your laptop for wireless activation buttons, if theres nothing there go to Start --> Network ---> Wireless

If there isn't anything to do with wireless e.g the button / on the start -> network -> wireless, i suggest taking it into a shop to get a wireless card put in it.

Very simple just turn on the switch of your wireless router and then turn your wireless connection switch in your laptop or connect to wireless connection if on PC.

You turn in your wireless capability on by pressing the function key F2 with a symbol with an A with stuff coming out on the side like a satelite ears
