Disconnect wires at antenna
I don't believe there is a relay. When you turn on the power to your radio the antenna should go up and down when you turn off the power. If the antenna is not doing just that, then the antenna motor is bad.
Bcm is going bad
To install an automatic antenna tuner you will have to call the dealership to get the part. You will have to turn the power switch off, remove the screws on the top case, turn the backup switch off and remove the backup battery. Turn the power switches back on and screw the top case back on.
If its right after you turn off the key it might be a power antenna motor.
Remove the wiring harness from the bottom of your 1987 Buick Regal power antenna. Remove the power antenna retaining nuts. The power antenna will come off. Reverse the process to install the new power antenna.
The 2000 Pontiac Firebird is equipped with a traction control switch on the shifting console. The traction control button can be pushed in and out to turn the system on in off.
Begin by removing the wiring harness from your 1994 Mercury Grand Marquis power antenna. Remove the power antenna retaining nuts. The power antenna will come off.
With your radio in the On position, turn your ignition 1 click to engage the power antenna. Then gently pull out old antenna as it raises. Feed in new antenna while your assistant turns the radio to the Off position. the motor will naturally pull in the new antenna...or go to the carwash and convince them their mechanised mildew-removing mmaham are the guilty party, and they owe $35 for a new antenna.
check your antenna belt/fuse !
check the fuse to make sure it's good and if it is your probably better off buying an aftermarket power antenna for it or go with a regular antenna.
If the antenna is in the up position, you have 2 options, replace the entire assembly, or unplug it. In the trunk under the antenna, you will find a set of 3 wires going into a relay. Unplug those, and the motor will turn off.
First physical pull the antenna all the way up, clean the antenna very good with a degreaser, then lubricate it with a silicon spray. Open the trunk, unplug the power to the antenna, start your car with the radio turned on, stop the engine, plug the power source to antenna back in. Try it now, if you still have the same problem, either the relay is stuck and needs replacing or the antenna motor is shorted and needs to be replaced.
