On WindowsXP there are two easy ways to adjust the sound, or mute it and turn it back on.
- First, on Windows Toolbar (bottom of screen, touch the blue arrow to expand the items. Look for the speaker icon; click it. Adjust, mute, or unmute.
- OR Go to Start --> Control Panel --> Sounds and Audio Devices --> Device Volume -- Adjust, mute, or unmute.
